KIC Council / Kansas Interlibrary Loan Board of Directors

The KIC Council is a policy-setting group of Kansas interlibrary loan and administrative librarians. Members determine efficient methods for interlibrary loan in the state, and modify borrowing and lending policies. The Council is composed of representatives from libraries that have signed the KIC Council Membership Agreement.

The KIC Council is guided by the Kansas Interlibrary Board of Directors. At its 25 September 1992 meeting, the KIC Council voted unanimously to accept the recommendations of the KIC Governance Implementation Team. One of the team's recommendations was to establish a Kansas Interlibrary Loan Board of Directors. This board is responsible for convening and running KIC Council meetings, studying policy recommendations, dealing with policy issues and protocols, and providing interlibrary loan training.
