Established in 2005, Statewide Resource Sharing is a division of the Kansas State Library, Topeka.
Programs managed within the division
Kansas Library Catalog - an online catalog of library holdings statewide (903 libraries/ 5 million items)
KICNET - the statewide networked messaging system for interlibrary loan
Statewide Database Resources - over 30 select database products freely available to all Kansas citizens 24/7; automatic authentication provided within Kansas; from WorldBook Encyclopedia and HeritageQuest to Literature Resource Center
E-rate - assistance with technology plans and telecommunications discounts
KanGuard - an Internet content filter service for public libraries in Kansas
Interlibrary Loan - assistance with ILL statistics and general ILL issues
KLS - Kansas List of Serials, a subset of the KLC listing specific periodical holdings of 132 Kansas libraries
Enhanced Library Meeting Rooms (ELMeR) - coordination and assistance for libraries participating in the high definition video conferencing system at public libraries throughout Kansas
Gates Computer Grant Program - management and assistance for public libraries participating in the current Gates Hardware Upgrade Grant program
State Library website - responsible for development and maintenance of the SLK website; includes Blue Skyways
Technology Support - professional staff available to assist Kansans in using SLK online resources
