Looking for any information on Charles H Lamar. The only information I currently have is: Born 1833 in TN, Died 1898, burried in the old soldiers Cemetary, Levanworth KS. I believe that this may be the National Cemetary at Leavenworth - I'm currently trying to verify this with the veterans Administration. I am very interested in information regarding what units he may have served in.

Looking for information on family of PHILIP O'NEAL/O'NEIL, b. 1844, Ireland. He married 27 May 1872, in Otoe Co., NE, SARAH L. SEARS, (b. Dec. 1851, in WI), dau. of JOHN and HETTY/HATTIE ANN (RADLEY) SEARS. Sarah's unmarried sister, IDA SEARS, lived with their family. Children of Philip and Sarah found in 1900, and 1910 Soundex are: GRACE O'NEIL, b. Apr 1877, Leavenworth, KS; JOSEPH O'NEIL, b. Feb 1883, Leavenworth, KS; and BLANCHE O'NEIL, b. I am interested in corresponding with any researcher who has information on the Cretors family who came to the Leavenworth, Kansas area in 1865. John Cretors was the owner of the Buckeye Carriage Factory located at 417-423 Cherokee in starting in 1867. His son L.M. Cretors was the leader of the Cretors' Band that was organized in 1880 in Leavenworth, KS. Would be interested in any and all information concerning this family. I looking for information about an ancestor William MORGAN who fell victim to Lung fever when he was in Leavenworth, Kansas living at the home of a Mrs. Garrets with his brother Thomas. His sickness lasted two weeks and then he died 15 January 1856. Can anyone help find this ancestor of mine or any information at all about him in or around Leavenworth during this period of time?

I am looking for the parents of Prof. Walter Nelles of the Yale Law School. His obit was in the NY Times 1 Apr 1937. He was 53 years old and was said to have been born in Leavenworth. He married Mary Damon in 1914. They had a son Peter, and a daughter Bethsabe. His mother married second, Jessie Ralston and was living in Sea Cliff, LI in NY at the time of his death. A pacifist, Prof Nelles was counsel for the Civil Liberties Bureau in 1918 and the Dept. of Justice raided his office. Thanks Kathleen

CONATHY, Wilma and CHAMBERS, William R. both of Levenworth Co., KS. William R. Chambers was a mechanic in Atchinson, KS in the 1930's, he later moved to Omaha, NE in about 1952. Wilma Conathy was an unwed mother of a son William. She later married James Randolph RASDALL. Wilma was also known as (she had been adopted unoffiacally) Genevieve Louise KOONTZ. The son of Wilma Conathy and William R. Chambers is looking for information on his birth father and the birth parent of his mother Genevieve Louise Koontz. Bill (William [Conathy-Chambers]Rasadall) was born in Levenworth, KS. He is wanting this information for health reasons. If you have any information on any of these families you can contact me. Seeking info on gr-uncles: Charles Allen HOLLOWELL b.1878; Mark Mitchell HOLLOWELL b.1879; Amos Sanders HOLLOWELL b.1882. All three brothers were born in and around Danville, Vermilion Co. IL. In obits dated 21 Feb 1921 and 13 Apr 1922 it mentioned Martha Prudence MORTON HOLLOWELL (their mother) had been living with a son who lived in Leavenworth, KS.
