JOSEPH WAGNER

The funeral for Joseph Michael Wagner, 29, Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Easton, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Lawrence Church, Easton. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, also at Easton.

Mr. Wagner died Wednesday night, Feb. 12th, in an auto accident at Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 3, 1956, at Leavenworth, the son of Peter and Patricia Brodrick Wagner.

He was an aircraft mechanic for an airline at Las Vegas. He was a veteran of the Air Force.

He was married to Dorothy Bourne July 14, 1979. She survives at the home.

Other survivers, a daughter, Nichole Rachel Wagner of the home, his parents,, Peter and Patricia Wagner, Lake of the Ozarks, a brother Thomas Wagner, Collinsville, Ill, four sisters, Patricia Spindler, Rochester, Minn., Judith Ronnebaum, Columbia, Mo., Mary Wilkes, Corpus Christi, Texas, Colleen Wagner, Columbia, Mo. and his grandmothers, Mary Wagner, Easton, and Imo Brodrick, Plattesburg, Mo.

The parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the Belden-Sexton-Sumpter Funeral Chapels where friends may call after 6 p.m. The family has established a fund for the benefit of his daughter. Donations may be made at the funeral chapel.

Mrs. Mary H. Forge

Mrs. Mary H. Forge, 76, RR 1, Leavenworth, died Saturday at Cushing Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at S. Joseph Carmelite Church, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

The D of I will recite the rosary at 5 p.m. Monday at Belden Funeral Chapels, and the parish rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Belden Funeral Chapels. Friends may call at the chapel after 10 a.m. Monday.

Mrs. Forge was born in Leavenworth Jan.6, 1909, the daughter of Peter and Mary Frances Wiesinger Fink. She attended St. Joseph Carmeltie Church and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella.

She was married in 1935 to Rudolph J. Forge, who proceeded her in death in 1973.

Survivors include two sons, Joseph and Robert Forge, both of Leavenworth; one daughter Miss Helen Forge, Leavenworth; one brother Henry Fink, Leavenworth and four grandchildren.

RAYMOND TUTTLE--died June 24, 1985

The funeral service for Raymond A. Tuttle, Jr., 69, Leavenworth, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Belden-Sexton-Sumpter Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gene DeWitt, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memory Gardens.
Mr. Tuttle died Tuesday at Stormont-Bail hospital, Topeka.
He was born July 14, 1915 at Leavenworth, the son of Raymond A. and Anna Marie Butzin Tuttle. He retired in 1973 as the grounds section foreman at Fort Leavenworth. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
He is survived by a son, Ray E. Tuttle, Leavenworth; a daughter Delores Shafer, Leavenworth; two sisters Dorothy Linaweaver, Lansing and Leona Etherton, Concord, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call in the chapel.
The family suggests memorial to the American Heart Association.

LUCILLE BOONE

Lucille W. Boone, 78, Leavenworth, died today in St. John Hospital. She had been in failing health several months.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Lansing. The Rev. Emil Nebiolo, pastor, will officiate . Burial will be in the National Cemetery, Fort Leavenworth.

Mrs. Boone was born Aug. 26, 1907, at Alva, Okla., the daughter of Dr. Paul and Margaret Stevens. She taught junior high school in the Leavenworth public schools until she retired. She was a Catholic.

She was married to Colonel H. Boone, a well known local attorney. He preceded her in death Nov. 12, 1978.

She is survived by a nephew, Tom W. Boone, Leavenworth; a sister-in-law, Mary Grace Boone, Colonial Manor at Lansing; one brother William Stevens, Mesa, Ariz.; and several other brothers.

The rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. today at the Davis Funeral Chapel, where friends may call after 5 p.m. today.

Memorials may be given to St. Francis de Sales Church.

Goldie Allen

Goldie L. Allen, 92, Medicalodge, formerly of 1107 N. Third, Lansing died Sunday morning in Medicalodge. She had been in failing health the past year.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Larkin-Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Mel Roy, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Muncie Cemetery.

Mrs. Allen was born Nov. 5,1893, in Jefferson County near McLouth, the daughter of John and Lilly Sanderson Laster. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She was married to Archie Allen on Aug. 25, 1915, in Leavenworth County. He survives at Medicalodge.

Other survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Neal (Lydia) Harrison, Leavenworth, Goldie Miesner, Leavenworth, Velva King and Frances Flynn, both of Lansing and Clara Bentley, Noblesville, Ind; 12 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church or Medicalodge

Louis Forge

Louis "Louie" Forge, 77, RR 4, died Tuesday morning in the Veterans Administration Medical Center.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the St. Joseph Church with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Forge was born Oct. 30, 1906, at Leavenworth, the son of John and Mary Elizabeth Kelley Forge. He farmed all his life. He was an Army veteran of World War II and served in the South Pacific. He was a member of St. Joseph Church and member of St. Joseph Society.

He is survived by two brothers, William Forge and John M. Forge both of Leavenworth.

The parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Belden Sexton Sumpter Funeral Chapels, where friends may call after 11 a.m.

The family suggests memorials to a charity of the donor's choice.

John M. Forge

John M. Forge, 84, RR 4, Leavenworth, died Wednesday in the Easton Manor.

The funeral will be at 10:30 am. Saturday at St. Joseph Church with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Forge was born May 15, 1901 at Leavenworth, the son of John and Mary Kelly Forge. He was a farmer. He was a member of the St. Joseph Church and the St. Joseph Society.

He is survived by a brother, William Forge, Leavenworth; and a number of nieces and nephew.

Visitation will be held after 11 am. Friday withe wake service later at 7 p.m in the Belden Sexton Sumpter Funeral Chapels.

Vincent Bietka, 73, Leavenworth, died this morning at the Veterans Administration Medical Center at Kansas City, Mo. He had been admitted to the VA here three weeks ago and was transferred to Kansas City.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Casimir Church. Father Jerry Sheeds will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Bietka was born May 8, 1907 at Leavenworth, the son of Vincent and Veronica Zielinski Bietka. He was a Navy veteran of World Ward II. He was an engineer in the power plant at Fort Leavenworth. He then joined the Leavenworth Police Department and retired a lieutenant in 1965. He was a member of St. Casimir Church.
He was married to Jessie M. Bolewski Dec. 31, 1933 at Leavenworth. She survives in the home.
He is also survived by a daughter, Judith Person, Oswego, Ore.; two sons, Vincent J. Bietka and Gary Bietka, both of Leavenworth; one sister, Mary Dowell, Kansas City, Kan; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the Larkin-Brown Funeral Home, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Sunday.

Archie B. Allen

Archie B. Allen, 92, Medicalodge, died early this morning in the Medicalodge.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m.Thursday in the Larkin-Brown Funeral Home. Rev. Mel Roy, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Muncie Cemetery.

Mr. Allen was born July 5, 1893, in the Kickapoo Township, the son of Charles Frank and Lydia Margaret Wilburn Allen. He farmed in the Easton area until 1939. he then worked for the Engineers Office at For Leavenworth until his retirement in July 1963. He was a member of the First Baptist church.

He married Goldie Laster Aug. 25, 1915, at Leavenworth. she preceded him in death on Jan. 12, 1986.

He is survived by five daughters, Lydia Harrison and Goldie Miesner, both of Leavenworth, Velva King, and Frances Flynn, both of Lansing and Clara Bentley, Noblesville, Ind.; one brother, William Allen, Winchester; one sister, Eva Manthe, Denton, Kan.; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Larkin-Brown Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church.

Michael Kern

Michael J. Kern Jr., 85, Leavenworth , died Sunday at St. John Hospital.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Church with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Kern was born in Leavenworth County Aug. 15, 1900, the son of Michael J. and Adeline Forge Kern. He was the owner and operator of M.J. Kern Auto Repair and Storage at 309 Shawnee until his retirement in 1967.

He farmed near Easton, where he raised white-faced Hereford cattle. He was a member of St. Joseph Church and the St. Joseph Benevolent Society. He was a past grand knight of the Knights of Columbus No. 900. He was a member of the Joseph D. Hurley Assembly, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie No. 55.

He was married to Mary Wells on Sept 8, 1926. She survives at the home.

He is also survived by two daughters, Sister Darlyne Kern, Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, and Anita Gill, Florissant, Mo.; a sister Lucille Blitz, Leavenworth; a brother, Maurice L. Kern Sr., Leavenworth; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael J. Kern III.

The parish, Knights of Columbus and Forth Degree rosaries will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Belden-Sexton-Sumpter Funeral Chapels, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The family suggests memorial to the St. Joseph Church or St. John Hospital.
