Hello, George Weir was my GG-uncle. He was born March 25, 1836 in TN. His parents were William B. C. and Catherine Weir. He moved from St. Clair Co. Missouri between the 1860 and 1870 censuses. George was in the Tonganoxie 1870 census. Although I can't find him in the 1880 census, he was in Leavenworth in 1900 and the article says he was a longtime resident. I am searching for any of his direct descendants so if you find any, send them my way! (smile) Have a good day.
