Samuel SCOTT died 1859 in Linn Kansas. He was Hung by Northern
Renegades for being pro slavery. Im looking for a tie into my Great Granddad.
Thomas Marion SCOTT whom according to my notes was either 9 or 11 at
that time. Which would make him born in either 1850 or 1848. Thomas was
married to Mary M(matilda?) WEBB. My Grand father John Webb Scott was
born in Missouri (Unk) and married Etta (ellie) May HUNTER.
Does anyone have any information that agrees or disagrees with the
above?

Charles A Kingsbury Mon, 14 Jun 1999 12:49:03
Please help me solve a family mystery. My g-grandfather and his wife
Armilda (KERON) lived in Appanoose Co., IA where two children were born.
Then in the early 1860's, children of the union were born in Linn County
Kansas. After 1866, more children were bron in App. Co., IA again.
My theory is that my ggrandfather, sent the family to live
with in-laws, while he was away at war (he was wounded, captured--but
that is another story). His name was John KINGSBURY.
My query: Is there any record of the KERON family in
Linn Co. during Civil War times?
