LANSDON, James known to have lived in Linn County in early 1870's next
door to his brother Henry Lansdon. James died in 1874, possibly in Linn
County. He was maried to Lucetta Hicox at the time of his death. My
grandfather John Thomas Lansdon was born in Kansas (one source said
Wafhiter). According to skimpy info I have, his father was James
Lansdon and his mother was Mrtha Clat(the handwriting was bad and that
is my best guess). Obviously, Mrtha is not Lucetta. What I need to
determine if there is another James Lansdon in the area at the same time
or if Grandpa James was playing around on the side. After all, he was
only 55 when he died. Any info would be appreciated.

I am searching for any info on several familes that were in Linn Co during
the 1930-1940s They were related through marriage. CHILDERS, Mary Jane
(Mollie) who is buried at Mound City, and Her son and daughter Elvis
CHILDERS, and Pearl HINKLE. Mollie CHILDERS was a BELL, and my great aunt.
My grandfather Hartsul R. BELL was her 1/2 brother. Mollie and Hartsuls
father was Riley Carlos BELL and her mother was Mary A.E. Cariger. Mollie
and her husband William Wallace CHILDERS raised Hartsul from the time he
was seven. I believe William and Mollie had other children (possibly a son
named Lem) Looking for anyone with information on the CHILDERS or on who
Hartsuls mother was. I have some information on Mollie BELLs ancestors and
most all of Riley Carlos line of BELL decendants.
