| Obituary of HAZEL ENGSTROM HENKE |
| Hazel Engstrom Henke, 71, died from cancer
March 22, 2000, at her home in Topeka. Born April 27, 1928, in Trelewis, South Wales, Great Britain, she married Floyd A. Engstrom of Junction City in Wales on April 8, 1945, and moved to the USA. They were divorced in 1984. She married Elden H. Henke of Topeka, formerly of Lost Springs, April 10, 1995. She was active in the Junction City and Fort Riley women's bowling association as well as leagues in Topeka. Survivors include her husband, Elden Henke, of the home; two daughters, Tami Law, Topeka, and Jayne Karmann, Junction City; two step-daughters, Sue Henke, Topeka, and Judy Dunn, Emporia; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Norma Thomas of Great Britain. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a sister, Beatrice Dickson. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospital, Topeka, American Cancer Society, or Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Topeka. |
