This picture was taken 1887 in Lyons, KS.  The couple was possibly related to Smiths who came to Rice Co, KS in the late 1870s and 1880 from Madison Co, Iowa and Harrison Co, Missouri, and before that they were in Morgan and Cass Counties, Illinois.  Smiths from these family lines lived in Chase, Lyons, Mitchell, Galt and Little River areas.  Family of John L. Miller also related to this line.  Identity of this couple not known.
