CONTEST RULES & GUIDELINES
To be a contestant, girls must be between the ages of 14 and 18 (by 8/1/13), live in Haskell County, or be affiliated with the county through school, community organizations, or church. Contestants will be judged on the following:

In the event of a tie, highest interview score will decide the winner. The queen will be crowned Tuesday night of fair week.
Queen responsibilities include attending the rodeo on Wednesday and Thursday nights, helping with the livestock shows where needed, riding in the parade on Saturday.
She will also be asked to represent Haskell County at two parades throughout the year such as Satanta Day, Beef Empire Days, Copeland Day, Pancake Day, etc.
A $500 scholarship will be awarded to the Haskell County Fair Queen. The first runner-up will be awarded a $300 scholarship,
and a $200 scholarship will be awarded to the second runner-up. In the event the queen has not finished high school,
the scholarship money will be held until she has enrolled in college or other secondary educational institution.
The scholarship must be used within two years of her high school graduation, or it will be reverted back to the Fair Association.
