The Rodeo is unquestionably one of the high points of the Haskell County Fair each year.
In 2005, a completely new rodeo facility was installed.

9TH ANNUAL HASKELL COUNTY TEAM ROPING SHOOTOUT
Coordinator: Allen Randles
Pre-qualifying Roping: Friday, July 18th - 7:00 p.m. at the Haskell County Fairgrounds Arena
Finals: July 23 and 24 at the Haskell County Fair Rodeo
RULES:
- Roper must be a local resident, a Haskell County native, or a graduate of Sublette, Satanta or Copeland schools.
- A pre-qualifying roping will be held.
- Entry fee is $25.00 per time, limited to four (4) times. Entries must be phoned in to Allen Randles at (620) 629-1261 or (620) 272-2903 by 6:00 p.m. July 17, 2008.
- The top 10 teams will be eligible to rope in the finals during the Haskell County Fair Rodeo.
- All participants' entries will be placed in a box and then partners will be drawn. The team then chooses who will be the header and heeler. Once selected, you must rope the same way each time.
- Monies will be paid back for 1st and 2nd go-round winners and the 1st through 4th in the average.
- Winners of the Roping will receive a buckle presented during the rodeo.
RODEO CONTESTS FOR THE KIDS
Area youth can get into the action at the Haskell County Fair Rodeo
again this year by entering the "Calf Scramble" and/or the Junior Barrel Race.
There is no pre-registration for these events. The Calf Scramble involves area
children in two age groups: 7-10 yrs. and 11-14 yrs. Junior Barrel Racing is open to
area kids ages 5-14, but they must be able to ride unassisted by an adult. Parents
with children interested in these fun events should attend the rodeo.
Participation prizes will be awarded each night.
