COLLECTION
BOOKS
The library staff and
board takes great pride in its collection. With books from the best seller’s
list as well as authors and titles of local interest the library strives to
meet the reading needs of its patrons.
Students will find a large
collection of Accelerated Reader to assist them in meeting school requirements.
PERIODICALS
The library
subscribes to over 90 different magazines as well as three daily newspapers.
AUDIO BOOKS
The library
maintains a collection of both cassette and compact disc audio books. These make great companions while
making daily commutes, vacationing or going about your daily activities.
VIDEOS
The library has
recently added DVDs to its collection and the circulation has been good. Looks for the newest releases at the
library.
SERVICES
DELIVERY
While the Columbus
Public Library is ADA compliant with a ground entrance and an elevator, the
staff understands patrons are sometimes unable to get to the library. If you are unable to leave home and
need something to read, the library will happily deliver materials to you.
INTERNET
The library offers
high-speed fiber optic connectivity free of charge.
FAX
Don't forget about
the library the next time you need to send or receive a fax. Contact the library staff for details
and costs.
INTERLIBRARY LOAN
Materials not
available in the collection of the library can be borrowed from other libraries
throughout the state. Borrowing is
completely automated and free of charge.
If you are in need of materials unavailable in our collections, ask
about interlibrary loan. Borrowing
takes about a week depending on availability.
