Introduction to Services
These vast storehouses of knowledge offer indexes, abstracts, and full-text
articles on business, government, management and a host of other topics.
Since they are updated frequently, they yield the latest information
available. Best of all, many of these subscription databases enable
library users statewide to print the complete content of articles they
want on the spot, with no wait.
Statewide access to these databases is made possible through the cooperative
efforts of the Kansas State Library, Regents libraries, regional library
systems and other partners.

& Resources page

How does my library signup?
If your library would like to participate in the statewide
online database subscription, please fill out this
form.
Libraries are being added to the group on an on-going basis during
the contract period. You will need to provide the name of your library,
street address, phone number, contact person, and e-mail address. Within
two weeks you should receive authorization numbers and/or passwords
for each of the services available.
Kansas libraries participating in FirstSearch must be identified by an OCLC symbol for the purpose of tracking usage statistics. If your library does not already have an OCLC symbol, one will be assigned to you. There is no cost for issuance of this symbol.
If you subscribe to FirstSearch or Infotrac Web, you need to subscribe to KANLIB-L, the listserv for Kansas librarians. This free mailing list gives you the latest about Firstsearch, Infotrac Web, and library legislative updates.
