I've always loved to read and realized I liked writing after winning a contest in the sixth grade sponsored by the Daughters of the American Revolution. Both of my grandmothers taught on the Kansas prairies in one-room schoolhouses and their love for education bloomed in me. I graduated from KSU in 1993 and have worked as a librarian, teacher, college tutor and now as an author. Brad, my husband of nearly twenty years, is an engineer in Wichita. We have one son, Logan Chance, who I still love to read to even though he's in middle school. Brad and I also raised our nephew, Joshua.
