Martha Hale earned her Ph.D. in Public Administration from
the University of Southern California and her M.L.S. from Syracuse
University. Her research areas are community analysis, distance education,
needs assessment, and information transfer among managers.

He is nationally known for his work in developing a
theoretical base for library and information science curricula and for his
research models and applications in community analysis and needs
assessment.
