  Hot and Cold water towers in Canton, Kansas Canton, famous for its HOT and COLD water towers, is located on Highway US-56, the Santa Fe Trail, in eastern McPherson, [MP], county.
 
  • The pioneer 1883 jail on Allen Street can be seen by appointment.
  • There's some interesting stonework in the buildings in the park just south of downtown.
  • The Maxwell Wildife Refuge, six miles north of Canton, has over 2200 acres of prairie habitat. Tram rides to view the wildlife including buffalo and elk are available.
Carnegie Library, Canton, KS The 1921 Canton Township Carnegie Library still seems to be in great shape on North Main. It was the last Carnegie Library built in Kansas.
