Insurance Rating Upgrade
| The ratings change takes effect December 1, 2009 and will be good until the next survey in approximately 10 years.
This change comes after the ratings inspection conducted in July of this year. The survey covers the 911 system, the city water storage and distribution system and the fire department. The City of Claflin, Population 750, has had a PPC rating change from
Class 7 with Class 9 & 10 in rural areas of our response area to
Class 5 in the city and 8b in rural areas within 5 road miles of the
fire station under the nationwide ISO rating system. This improvement in ratings should help reduce homeowner and commercial insurance rates. The
Claflin Fire Department has always had tremendous support from our
patrons in the City of Claflin and in the Fire District #1 response
area of Northeast Barton County. We are very proud to be able to
contribute to this improved rating. |
