has been named a finalist in 8 Wonders of Kansas by the Kansas Sampler Foundation
The 24 finalists were unveiled Thursday, April 23. The public will choose eight winners by June 15. The foundation received 124 nominations when it asked Kansans last month to nominate their favorite eating places. A committee narrowed the list to 24.

Welcome to Cottonwood Falls, Kansas

Situated in the heart of the Flint Hills, Cottonwood Falls serves as the County Seat of Chase County. The Chase County Courthouse forms the center of the town, at the end of Broadway, the town's main street. A brick street so wide you can turn a horse-drawn carriage around on it, Broadway boasts dozens of places to go, including shops, galleries, restaurants, and a hotel. Stay in Cottonwood Falls as the jumping off point for your visit to Chase County and the Flint Hills.

Getting to Cottonwood Falls

By car:
Cottonwood Falls is located west of Emporia off of highway 50 between Strong City and Bazaar along Hwy 177. (Map)

By air:
Chase County Airport (elevation 1,273 feet) serves Cottonwood Falls and Chase County. It has a turf runway of 2,300 feet. Phone: 620-273-6666
