Mrs. Chadwick was an Erie native. Her parents, Leon and Rose Jessup Cambern, were leading citizens of Erie in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Mrs. Chadwick married and moved away from Erie, but she always maintained a sentimental interest in the area. Upon her death she provided a bequest which made it possible to build a new library in Erie. The Erie Library, through this bequest, is a memorial to Alice Chadwick's parents, Leon Senton and Rose Jessup Cambern. |
