Gas, also known as "Gas City", is located in Allen, [AL], County, which is in the southeast corner of the State on U.S. Highway 54. Gas is 2 miles east of Iola, the county seat, approximately 50 miles west of the Missouri border, and 65 miles north of the Oklahoma border.
Home of the Largest Gas Kan in the World.
The small town boast 100 or more attractive homes and many small businesses including two banks, two Churches, a Convenience Store, Cafe, Auto Repair/Body Shop, Car Dealer, Trucking Company, Golf Course, TV & Appliance Shop, and Mobile Home Sales to name just a few. Gas also has one of the last remaining, working Drive-In Theaters in the State.
