  Community Wide Yard Sale

• Several yard sales held annually
• Visitors from neighboring communities come to buy

 

  Main Street Christmas & Christmas Lighting Contest

• Held annually in December
• Free will offering chili supper
• Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will be present
• Caroling

 

  Easter Egg Hunt & Bake Sale

• Held annually the Saturday before Easter at the City Park
• Businesses and individuals donate prizes and money
• Each child gets a lot of candy and 1 prize
• Very good baked items for sale for Easter dinner

 

  City-Wide Clean-Up

• Held annually in May
• Clean up around parks and town
• Paint playground equipment , trash barrels, etc.
• Plant flowers in downtown planters.

  Other Projects

• Maintainance & upkeep of PRIDE park
• Community Birthday Calendar
• Kid's summer activities
• Yard of the Month Contest
• Summer Story Hour
• Maintain the City of Herndon Web Site
