All referral services on the Crisis Hot Line are free; however, some of the referral sources we use do charge a fee.  Many of the fees are on a sliding scale, and most services are covered by insurance. 

Free Medical Transportation to all Highland residents.  Free grocery shopping for all Highland shut-ins.

Doniphan County Health Department/Home Health Agency – 201 S. Main , Troy , Ks 785-985-3591.  Medicare  Certified Home Health Agency- registered nurses, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, home health aides, housekeeping services, maintenance programs and health department services to include immunizations, health assessments, child care licensing program, healthy start home visitors , WIC, environmental services  and much, much  more.  QUALITY CARE FOR QUALITY PEOPLE!  (Serving Doniphan County re sid ents since 1978)

Pennel-Duncan Sure Care Agency-Home and Impatient Care
This care program provides the following services:
Personal Care      Meal Preparation    Home Health Aides        Light House Keeping 
Errands                  Live-Ins                 Transportation                Ambulation
Companions           Sitters                    Medical Care                 Adult Daycare

The care service will provide help hourly/24 hour/Daily. To check for the cost of any of the above services call Debbie Duncan, Medical Consultant C.E.O at 785/547-3403 or 785/741-3052.  Debbie is a registered nurse.

The Window (Teen Age Pregnancy)-816/364-0037-Provides a home, clothing, schooling, prenatal care, and baby care if the mother decides to keep the child.  Will help provide adoption when necessary.

Light House (Teen Age Pregnancy)-866/361-2233-Provides a home, clothing, schooling, and prenatal care.  If the mother decides to keep the child they will provide baby care to the mother- or help with adoptions when needed.

Birthright-1-800-550-4900 Baby clothing, diapers, and formula, etc, for low income families and unwed mothers

DOVE- Domestic Violence 1/800-369-0363.  Will provide shelter for any woman and her children needing help with on a domestic violence situation.   Furnishes food, lodging, helps secure work and, helps establish new living quarters. Small fee or free when necessary.
