Hoisington
- It is unlawful for the owner or harborer of any dog or
cat, male or female, to permit the same to run at large and off the
premises of the owner or harborer. Any dog or cat observed to be
at large in violation of City Ordinances may be impounded by the Animal
Control Officer.
All dogs and cats must have a City tag which may be purchased at the
City Office. Proof of current rabies shot must be presented when
tag is issued. Cost for the annual license will be $10
for each dog or cat; however, if the owner of the dog or cat provides
proof that the dog or cat has been neutered or spayed, the license fee
will be waived. The owner of the neutered or spayed dog or cat
shall register the dog or cat with the city annually. All tags
are due January 1 each year. On July 1 a late registration
penalty fee of $25 is charged.
- Tornado Warning Alarm will consist of ONE (1) continuous
blast for 1 minute of the sirens. (A Fire Alarm consists of 4
evenly spaced blasts.)
THE ALARM WILL NOT BE SOUNDED UNLESS A FUNNEL CLOUD HAS
BEEN SIGHTED AND THERE IS IMMEDIATE DANGER. SEEK SHELTER
IMMEDIATELY.
If you have any questions on how to plan for your safety, call either
the Police Department or City Manager for information. Please do
NOT call after the alarm has sounded. An "All Clear" will not be
sounded.
