Sanitation Charges
For each residential unit whether home, apartment, or half of duplex, the sanitation charges shall be $12.00 per month.Residential unit where trash must be carried to street or alley, tree limbs, grass, leaves, not included, the charge shall be $13.50 per month.
Only garbage and trash which has been put into fly-tight containers (30 gallons or less) will be picked up.
All garbage must be drained and wrapped or placed in leak-proof bags, and placed in the container provided for refuse pick-up.
No containers will be permitted on City parking areas except on days of pick-up.
NO BURNING OF TRASH, REFUSE, OR LEAVES WILL BE PERMITTED.
Grass, Grass Clippings and Leaf Disposal Only: The City provides the old City burnsite as a place to dispose of grass and leaves. The burnsite is located on the sanded road 1-1/2 miles east of Kaiser's Shamrock. Burnsite is open 24 hours a day.
Sewer Charges
- Residential Sewer charges are based on average of the gross water consumption by each customer for the months of December, January and February of each year.
In City Limits. A minimum charge of $5.00 if water is on and/or shows no usage; an additional $1.90 per 1,000 gallons of water used shall be charged.
Outside City Limits. A minimum charge of $5.00 which shall include 5,000 gallons of water usage; excess above 5,000 shall be charged at the rate of 50¢ per 1,000 gallons
New Residential Customers. Shall be charged a rate of $16.40 per month until there are sufficient records to calculate the average for such customer.
Commercial Sewer Charges. Shall be based on each month's water use; at a rate of $5.00 minimum and $1.90 per 1,000 gallons of water usage for that month.
Water Rates
Minimum Bill (includes first 2,000 gallons usage per month) $11.00

30% added to above rates for customers not in the city limits.
ALL ELECTRIC, WATER, SANITATION, AND SEWER BILLS ARE PAYABLE THE FIRST OF THE MONTH. A 10% PENALTY IS ADDED AFTER THE 15TH OF EACH MONTH.If any utility bill is not paid on or before the last of the month following the month for which charged, the service will be discontinued and may be resumed only after the full amount and a reconnection fee of $25.00 per utility is paid.
