Kingman, the county seat of Kingman County, is located on Highway 54, a major east-west highway through Kansas, at the beginning of the historical section known as the "Cannonball Stageline." Built on both sides of the Ninnescah River, we have an ideal location for the lovely Riverside Park and the Activity Center, locations for many of our town's activities including the 4th of July Celebration, rodeos and horse events, Horse and Mule Sales, the Kingman County Fair and more. Visitors find historic buildings to admire, a museum detailing events from Kingman's colorful past, restaurants, and unique gift and antique shops, as well as the relaxing atmosphere of our island park and walking path. A day trip to Kingman can be topped off on the weekends by taking in a show in our historic downtown theater.
While the economy is largely agriculture based, we also support a number of manufacturing, retail, and service businesses, with more room to grow.
Kingman makes a great place to visit and better place to live!
