Leroy is proud of its city park and during 2000 some of the structures
are being refurbished. Nearby John Redmond Reservoir and the state
park on its shores offer great opportunities for outdoor
recreation. Wolf Creek Lake which provides cooling water for
the power plant, is also open for fishing. The Neosho River, which flows
along the edge of town, also offers some great fishing; huge
catfish have been caught in it.
