Enjoy the historic bridges near Lenora.  Two may be found in the Lenora area.  They are both listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Hunting on the High Plains         Lenora is situated in the West Solomon River valley, in an area that is home to pheasant, quail, dove, turkey and deer.  It is in Norton County, which is known as the Pheasant Capital of Kansas.           Norton County often has one the highest Walk-In-Hunting acreage allotments within the state.            There is also excellent opportunity for fishing with 2,000 acre Sebelius Reservoir just 14 miles north of Lenora.  Saugeye and Walleye are two popular gamefish, with several others available.           In addition, there is a local outfitting service Great Plains Adventures (785-567-4646) ready, and willing to provide a complete hunting experience.           Just east of Lenora is the old Lenora Lake/Wildlife Area.  Currently, it is in the process of being upgraded.  This 20+ acre site has a well preserved Shelter House with a Fireplace and a very unique porch floor.  The Shelter House and Bathrooms were built along with the dam, as a WPA project in 1937.           Presently, the camping sites are in a primitive form but the community is working on upgrading.  Numerous trees surround the lakebed, which has water, only seasonally.  Waterfowl make good use of this area when there is water in the spring and fall.           The area is perfect for wildlife, birdwatching, and stargazing. It is quiet and peaceful with wonderful views of our western Kansas skies--lofty sunsets and colorful sunrises
