Fourth of July

Leoti hosts one of the best old-fashioned 4th of July Celebrations around. Held at the Wichita County Park, it features firetruck rides, raffles, a memorial swim meet, duck races, carry-in dinner and hamburger feed, and a spectacular fireworks display. Sponsored by the Leoti Volunteer Fire Department.

The Wichita County Fair

The Wichita County Fair, held the first week of August, showcases the best in 4-H and open class exhibits. Other activities include rodeos, 2 dances, free barbeque, antique tractor pull, parade, turtle race, kiddie games, and of course, the carnival. Wichita County is home to one of the world's best community-owned carnivals. The Wichita County Amusement Association carnival, in operation during the Wichita County Fair, features a Tilt-a-Whirl, carousel, Rock 'n Roll, small ferris wheel, kiddie cars and whales, Merry Mixer, miniature train, kiddie roller coaster, and lots of game and food booths. All rides and games are only twenty-five cents! The carnival attracts thousands of people from across western Kansas.
