The Moran City Council met in special session on Thursday, February 14, 2002. Mayor Phillip Merkel called the meeting to order at 5:30 PM. Councilmembers present were Mark Barnett, Mike Holman, James Mueller, and Warren Johnson. Also present were Lori Evans, City Clerk; and Mike Stodgell, City Superintendent.

SEWER LIFT STATION REPAIRS OR REPLACEMENT

City Superintendent Stodgell presented literature and a proposal of $21,560.00 from HFE Process of Tulsa, OK, to replace the lift station at the West end of Church Street that was damaged during the ice storm at the end of January. The Council discussed the bid to replace the existing lift station and discussed the alternative measure; i.e. continue manually pumping the sewage. Questions were raised regarding the warranty on the pump. A call was made to the company representative, without success.

After additional discussion, Councilman Mueller moved to purchase the proposed lift station using the Sewer Line Replacement Fund. Barnett seconded the motion, motion passed with all approving.

ADJOURNMENT

Councilmember Mueller moved the meeting adjourn at 5:54 PM. Barnett seconded the motion, motion passed with unanimous approval.
