WHAT IS SABETHA EMS? We are a group of volunteer EMT's and First
Responders that provide emergency care to Sabetha and the surrounding communities.
We currently have 15-17 active members that cover calls 24 hours every day.
EMT/First Responder classes are currently underway and are offered at least one time a
year, in the area. There are scholarships available for the EMT/First Responder
classes. If you are interested in joining our service, please feel free to stop by a
meeting.
DOES IT PAY?
Members are paid $1.00 per hour while on call for possible emergency runs. Members
are paid $25.00 per run in the Sabetha area, $50.00 per run for trips to Topeka, and
$60.00 per run for runs to Kansas City or Omaha.
WHO ARE THE EMTS/FIRST
RESPONDERS? We consist of a wide range of
individuals from all walks of life. We all have full/part-time jobs in the community
and run on the ambulance on an on-call basis.
