Sterling Grade School
-
At the center of USD #376 is diversity-diversity designed to help
the individual flourish and succeed. Secondary and middle school
academic and extra-curricular offerings keep in mind that each student's
strengths, needs, and interests are unique. Economics, Auto-CAD,
Parenting and Foods, Spanish, German and Drama- a curriculum designed
to aid both those college and vocationally bound. Students may
participate in tennis, cross country, football, volleyball, basketball
and track as well as numerous fine arts activities. SHS students have
consistently earned top ratings at instrumental, vocal, and art contests
and teams can boast recent state medalists in tennis, cross country,
track, and debate-as well as 12 consecutive state championships in
forensics.
Diversity is not forgotten at Sterling's grade school, either,
where special needs of students are addressed one-on-one as well as in
the mainstream. Additional help is also available by way of SHASTA, an
after school club which offers special tutorial services. There's also
an online weather lab
at the grade school.
