Trash Services

Residential Trash pick up in Strong City is on Monday mornings. Two 35 gallon trash containers are allowed per household. They must have handles and a tight fitting lid. Yard waste will not be picked up by the trash hauler. Please call the City Clerk's office for limb pick up.

Water Service

If you are new to Strong City, you will need to come to City Hall and fill out a water service application. At that time, you will also need to remit a $50.00 deposit. The City offers same-day connection. Meters are read the last week of each month and bills are mailed on the last day of the month. Payments may be made in person at the Water Department or the Cottonwood Valley Bank located in downtown Strong City. Payments may also be mailed to: Strong City Water Dept., PO Box 208, Strong City, KS 66869. A 10% penalty is added to any bill not paid by the 10th of the month. A past due notice will be sent out on the 15th of the month for all unpaid accounts. If the account remains unpaid after 10 days, a hand delivered notice (charge $8.00) is then taken out. If not paid by noon the next day, water service is terminated and the past due amount along with a $50.00 reconnect fee will be required before service may be reinstated.

Reserve-A-Truck

April through October residents may sign up for the Reserve-A-Truck program for hauling off yard waste and landfill items. Call the City Clerk's Office for more information.

City Burn Site

The City Burn Site is located on Highway 177 west of Fox Creek Bridge and is only for the following burnable items: limbs, brush, leaves, cardboard boxes, and clean (no nails) lumber. Approval of load and admittance may be obtained from the City Clerk's Office during regular business hours.
