- Vesper is located in the beautiful Saline River valley in Lincoln, [LC], county. It's just south of K-18.
Most of the old buildings are gone and the railroad no longer passes through Vesper; the town is now an "active ghost town". Bingo is held the first and third Saturdays of each month and community events are held in the old high school gymnasium.
- The current Vesper townsite was named Nemo when it was founded in 1887. "Old Vesper" was located two miles west of Nemo, and the post office there was founded in 1873. The townsite of Nemo was vacated in 1894. "Old Vesper" was moved to this location and was platted into lots in 1905. The Union Pacific ran through the new townsite.
